British Government Apologizes for Alan Turing

Posted by Michael Dickens on September 10, 2009

Apparently, Alan Turing gets an apology for being a mistreated homosexual, but none of the other mistreated homosexuals do. This has good intentions, and is certainly better than not apologizing, but it’s not so great either. It seems to be saying, “If you are brilliant and contribute to technological growth, then we’re sorry we prosecuted you. But we don’t care about people who don’t give us computers and stuff.”

Will the mistreatment of homosexuals ever halt?
