They can be biased because they have questions that are based on particular cultural assumptions, but if you didn’t happen to be raised in that culture, then you might not do as well on the test even though you might be very “smart.”

What does a number really mean, anyway. . . .it’s probably more important to think about how one is going to APPLY intelligence than measure it. I’d know I’d rather use my smarts than measure them.
